Material: Rattan

Our side tables are made from plant fibres. They therefore wonderfully smell and feel like nature.

Rattan palms tend to grow in large numbers in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants, taking up space from other plants and drawing many nutrients from the soil. The stems, which grow back quickly without any chemical additives, have to be cut off regularly and can then be used as material for furniture and baskets after the drying process. This makes rattan an extremely sustainable material that is available in abundance.

No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Since all work steps are done by hand, hardly any greenhouse gas emissions are generated by the production process.
